Sports Day
March 2011
Thursday March 10 saw another brilliant day dawn in Reefton for the 2011 Athletics.
The day began with the senior leaders doing a great job of bringing 36 Year 1 – 13s together to compete in a shuttle relay. The entire school and a very good crowd of parents crowded the track for a better view of the event.
The remainder of the sports took place in 20 minute rotations, through the usual athletic events, but with several fun events mixed through the day. The water slide, the obstacle course, the gumboot throwing and sack races were enjoyed by all and made the whole experience very enjoyable.
It was very pleasing to note the way all the students competed with enthusiasm and pride for their individual houses. The final result was very close as you can see below.
